Chris & Rihanna Rumour

Chris Brown has been charged with two felonies stemming from what a police detective describes as a brutal argument between the singer and Rihanna, provoked by her discovery of a text message from another woman.

On another note, rumours from sources close to Rihanna have revealed that not only is she back with Chris Brown, but the two secretly married at P. Diddy's Miami home.

Am i the only one that thinks this is completely ridiculous...

Montreal Fashion Week

Wednesday March 4th, I attended the Ralph Leroy and Myco Anna show. It was my first time at a Fashion show. I am not a fashion show expert however I thought the show was really great. Sylvie Desbois our event planning teacher got us the tickets and told us where to go. As we walked in I noticed where the "pit" was for the photographers which was exactly where it was supposed to be! We made our way in and we were able to be seated; more or less at the center of it all so we had a good view of everthing.
-Starting off with Ralph Leroy at 6pm, I really liked his introduction on the projection screen; I found it caught everyone's attention and was intense and once that was finished the 1st model came out. The music as well was good obviously followed the theme. The colors in the collection were very Flashy and lively. I noticed there were many accessories; hats, bags, necklaces, gloves, etc...
-Once the show was finished everyone had to leave and we went in the cocktail room. It was nicely decorated and gave off a comfy mood; which was good because I found it made people want to have a drink and talk about the show. They were giving out many product samples and magazines; again I don't know if that usually happens but that was a good idea and cool for us! lol
-The second show Myco Anna at 7pm, I really enjoyed and this was my favorite out of the two.
I found the collection was really funky and they had beautiful clothes. There were many different colors and patterns for example, one outfit had different tones of purple and it was all put into one outfit, same for the reds, blues, greens! It didn't look mismatched; it looked fabulous! I found the music was better in this show and the models didn't seem as "tense" as some of the men did; they had that right attitude and confidence. The hairstyles were nice as well, many braides with accessories in them which were matching with the outfits!
Overall, it was a great show & experience, I had a lot of fun and will definetely go to the show next year!

Jaga Jazzist

I think everyone should check out a band that I really enjoy. They are called Jaga Jazzist and they are an experimental / instrumental jazz group from Norway. I think they would be useful for a fashion show if needed.

Vicky Christina Barcelona

I spent the whole weekend watching movies and 'Vicky Christina Barcelona' was by far my favourite. I'm traveling to Barcelona this summer with my best friend and this movie made me VERY excited! My boyfriend wasn't very happy about it though lol (watch the movie and you'll understand why :))

Here's a bit of the plot : Two girlfriends on a summer holiday in Spain become enamored with the same painter, unaware that his ex-wife, with whom he has a tempestuous relationship, is about to re-enter the picture.

Scarlett Johansson was amazing (what's new!) and you can't get any sexier than Javier Bardem and last but not least, Penélope Cruz. She's brilliant.

A.M.A.Z.I.N.G MOVIE! I highly recommend it :)

plus size line by Simpson

We've all seen Jessica Simpson recently in magazines, critics have pulled out their claws to the once sexy Daisy Duke. Jessica has been critized for looking more curvy than usual and that doesn't seem to bother her, because she just announced that she plans to design a clothing line for full figured women.

Now I ask myself, are all those unflattering photos of Jessica a marketing strategy for her new line? She told In Style (march issue) that now she knows how difficult it is to find hot clothes in the plus size section and that she wants to remedy the situation.

We all know Jessica Simpson is also one of the celebrities with the worst taste in fashion, so I think its really funny that she wants to create a plus size line eventhough shes been critized for her body shape and for her awful selection of outfits.

Maybe she wants to be an inspiration for full shape women, or maybe she just wants to justify her "eating her problems" and not working out.

Anyways I think that women with full shape bodies should have a more classy and sofisticated inspiration like Melissa "Emme" Aronson, Crystal Renn or even the winner of ANTM Whitney Thompson.

March Madness

Well, I was speaking with my cousin last weekend. The month of March is coming up and it’s an expensive month for my family. I have fourteen birthdays to celebrate within the family. Ten years ago, we use to celebrate everyone’s birthday at the end of the month but then we stop doing this, why? I don’t recall if the person that used to organize these parties became too busy to coordinate them as time passed on, so I’ve placed myself in charge of planning this celebration at the end of the month of March. I’m planning on including theme colors, decorations, games, DJ with dancing and karaoke challenges. I will be making a birthday album to savor the memories and I’ll be looking forward to coordinating this party which I’ll be dedicating to a former family member that pass away three years ago. Her birthday was on March 10. Why call it March madness? My family is full of energy and very excitable when we get together. We tend to let ourselves go and live in the moment so we can party until our hearts content. This event is going to be a wonderful way to get my large family in one area and I will be planning it on behalf of my Cousin Maureen that we have all missed dearly. March 28/2009 here I come!!!

Rhianna

I love Rhianna and her music, I just find it so sad that Chris Brown would do something that terrible to someone else. Its not good at all for his career, nor is it going to send a good message to all of Rhiannas fans if she decides to still stay with Chris after this incident. I have no idea what anyone of their status/wealth would ever have to argue about getting to the point of brutally beating Rhianna up but I guess the saying is true, "Money can't buy happiness." When I have the time I might read a Gossip Magazine, and its surprising how much the stars of Hollywood are unhappy, and miserable.

Outre-mer

Truman Capote

"I can see every monster as they come in."
-Truman Capote
I'm currently at work and I couldn't think of ANYTHING to blog about (because I am soooo freaken tired!) so I decided to write about my favourite author, Truman Capote. He wrote such classics as 'In Cold Blood', 'Other Voices, Other Rooms' and my ALL TIME favourite 'Breakfast At Tiffany's.' Whoever hasn't read this book I order you to right away! lol. I'll even lend it to you if you want :) That's how good it is!
This is just a little about this amazing author. Truman Capote was born in New Orleans September 30, 1924 and died August 25, 1984. He was a Southern Gothic novelist, journalist and a celebrated man-about-town.
Also, there is a movie about him called 'CAPOTE.' :) It's SO good!

Let it Rock!!

Ok so I couldnt sleep tonight because I was thinking of ideas for our fashion show..
For the past few months one of the biggest entertainment stars has been Lil Wayne, along with other rappers and what I have noticed is the biggest trend among them is their rock/ hip hop style.

I was thinking that for our fashion show we could do a Hip Hop meets rock fashion show. Like have the new urban style of the scarfs, chains on the jeans, fitted jeans for guys, ripped jeans etc. We could have both men and women, the background could be a brick wall with spray paint. Basically combining the ideas of independence, originality, creativeness etc. ( The ideas from the hellz bellz and the boy George fashion show). There could be breakdancers and or female Hip Hop dancers during the show or in intermission.

Pretty much the style and clothing would come from the ideas of how the worlds biggest stars these days are dressing and the way the youth today are finding their own originality in this world. Ex: Lil wayne, Jay Z, Pharell, Travis Barker, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus etc.

Well its just an idea....
